Inflatable slide collapses on kids in Encino
The festival, which took place on Lindley Avenue near Hatteras Street, was hosted by St. Mary's Assyrian Church.
Children ranging in age from 3 to 10 years old got trapped when the two-story-tall slide collapsed on Saturday.
Firefighters said a group of older kids had overloaded the slide.

Los Angeles Zoo at Griffith Park: On December 16, 2010, the Los Angeles Zoo has opened its long awaited Elephants of Asia habitat with three Asian elephants: Billy, Jewel and Tina. While Tina and Jewel are older cows and will not be able to produce offspring, the Los Angeles Zoo’s hope is to bring in more cows so that Billy will have some offspring and the LA Zoo can help to build a population of this dying species of elephants.
Elephants are the world’s largest living land mammals. Male Asian elephants grow up to 11 feet tall and weigh six tons. Females are generally smaller. Compared to African elephants, Asian elephants are smaller overall, with noticeably smaller ears. They have just one “finger” on the top of trunk (Africans have two). Their foreheads are more rounded with two “lobes,” and their backs are more arched.

The moonwalk or back slide is a dance technique that presents the illusion of the dancer being pulled backwards while attempting to walk forward. A popping move, it became popular around the world after Michael Jackson executed the dance move
Capture the Flag
Capture the Flag: This is a fun interactive game for children ages 6 and above. Get 2 flags (if you don't have one you can buy them from $1 stores) and divide the group of children into 2 teams. Place the 2flags on opposite sides of the lawn in an easy to reach area, such as on a low tree, or a chair if necessary. The goal of the game is for the team to capture the opposing team's flag safely without being tagged. If they are a tagged, they must go to "jail" where they will be released when all team members are placed in jail or the game ends, whichever comes first. The first team to capture the other team's flag wins! you can also add a bounce house rentals and and enjoy the fun of jumpers after the game. This is a great game for any party.

A party at the Los Angeles zoo would be an enlightening experience for all. The price is high, but it will truly be an experience your little one will never forget. There are some packages to choose from. The "monkey madness" package includes 2 hours at a reserved patio and zoo tickets for 13 children and 7 adults. It costs $300. The Koala Ala Cake Party also includes 2 hours at a reserved party site, along with birthday cake, drinks (punch or lemonade), a fun craft, a birthday gift for the guest of honor and admission for 13 kids and 7 adults. It is $650. The "lion's den" package provides the same along with a meal. You can choose from pizza, hamburgers or hot dogs & potato chips. It is a splurge at $750. Unfortunately bounce houses and inflatables are not allowed there. Nor you can rent or bring party supplies with you. You can also add on extras such as cotton candy, ice cream sandwiches, popcorn and even a birthday entertainer. Guests will enjoy the birthday celebration and then touring the zoo together. if you really want to treat your little one with a fabulous event, the Los Angeles Zoo is a wonderful choice.

I was planning to make a beach party on July 4th with my family and kids and later on enjoy the fireworks. I was planning to rent as wall an inflatable bounce house for a party. Then I find out not bounce houses nor water slides or any kind of inflatable play structures are allowed for beach parties. Later on it came up that BBQ ing is allowed in some locations only. What if someone wants to have a private party far away from others with family and kids? Do we have to go back to our homes to BBQ and bounce in the jumper or slide at our backyard on July 4th? I hope party rental industry wont suffer :)
